Pathways to Law and stuff.

I’m not really blogging as much as I thought I would be having set up a blogsite. Anywho, as usual, its because I’ve been busy.

For three days, Pathways to Law organised a workshop event where Pathway’s student were given work experience to some of the biggest/top 100 law firms in the country. Although I wanted to attend a firm in London, I was only given the one in Portsmouth. It’s a firm named Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons- of which will be shortened down to Blake Lapthorn in a few years. Travel expenses were already paid for (as usual really) so it was just finding the energy to get up at 7am for the three days, to get the ferry to the mainland at about 8 and then getting home at about 6pm. My first impression was literally “holy sh*t” as the building was gorgeous! However, after the the introduction, I was sent to one of their offices in Winchester that was actually three houses attached together- one was subsided. Inside was like a maze, i cant remember one single route. LOL! Nonetheless, it was all worth it! I learnt so much (yeaup, as usual) and recieved some pretty cool goodies including a massive box of chocolate, usb memory stick, a book, a canvas bag, a stress ball etcetera. The lunch they provided wasn’t that great compared to all the other free lunches we get with the programme: *cheeky*. Haha! That’s one great thing about this programme, so much goodies all the time! :D See, I could talk about my three days in detail but it will just bore many as I know law isn’t in everyone’s book. Moreover, on the last day, we finished early which gave me time to go shopping!

On the last day of the workshop, Sam left to go to London for a little “holiday”. It was quite sad leaving him at the train station. I dont like being apart from him one bit. The fact that we’re together, everywhere, every hour of everyday that we are free, justifies how one day apart is a big difference. I know some of you wont agree but that’s just how it is. He come’s back tomorrow and I’m so excited!

I’m not going to be working much this week as I told my manager I didnt want to do any overtime. That means more time for lovelovelove. Unlike before, work has become so fun lately. I’m not sure how or why yet. I dont really care, just glad it’s not as painful as before! Haha.

Things arent so good.

My blog doesnt seem to be getting anywhere, still a graveyard. My offline life hasnt been that interesting either; or has, I just can remember right at this moment. I have just finished work- shit hole. I was 20 minutes late home because of this costumer. I cant be bothered to talk about it to be honest. To be fair however, it wasn’t entirely their fault the mistake happened nor was it their fault I was late. It was just bad luck on me. I feel crappy at the moment, not really in the mood to blog. Sometimes, I really dont understand myself, the things I do, the things I say. I just keep on pushing and pushing; until they find it hard to hold on. Sigh.

Result’s Day!

I got my results for As today and they weren’t as good as I had hoped although I did somehow expect it. I passed them all, in fact with A’s with at least one unit on all my subjects and the B grade except Maths. However, with every unit I made a little dent with a disappointing grade (for me) which concluded to me not getting the AAA I wanted; I’m not too bothered about Maths as even though it’s a low grade, I will still hopefully get admiration from the administrators. I did get close to the A’s with BCC which I hope to improve into BBB with the January retakes; and use my A2 this coming school year to push it up as close as I can to AAA. You see, these are the grades I need for the Universities I’m applying to- Law being one of the most competitive degree to study.

I had work later on which got my mind off things for a little bit but it was my boyfriend who really cheered me up. He was with me from the moment I woke up today to get me through seeing my results and after work etc. I spoke to my Law mentor this afternoon as well, to get some more guidance on how I should tackle the next step and she gave great advice (as usual). It’s what I’ll be doing after this blog. My mentor is not from my school nor from where I live, she’s actually a teacher somewhere in the mainland (I live in an Island lol). I met her through Pathways to Law which I will add in my “about me” section soon.

I’ve decided..

I have indeed decided that I will not care too much about the layout of this site and just start blogging. I’m in such a good mood today; had an amazing time with my boyfriend again and everything is just lovely.

Last night, we decided to go out for another day-out today however on the way to the site, it started to rain. It was actually pouring down! We ended up eating our lunch in the car (which turned out to be so romantic). Afterwards, we went back to his place and.. ..and he persuaded me to play on the wii fit- it was so much fun! I have never tried it before. I was always too scared I would make a fool out of myself but I guess somehow, that’s the fun of it! We ate the last ice creams in the house too! Ha! Although, today didn’t go as we had planned it, we still had so much fun.

It’s Result’s Day on Thursday and I am terified. I am dreading it. What if I failed? >.<

I’m slowly getting the hang of this. I’m not sure about the layout and everything else but its not a bad place to start. I am so tired at the moment (from working). However, I really want to get this sorted and going. I used to blog on Myspace and it wasnt bad but it just became dead for me, so here I am now. I have to figure out how people can track this site and have it more public. Owhh…
